Chopt Creative Salad Co. has officially announced its first day of business at Hill Center Brentwood.
The fast-casual company will open its doors to customers on Thursday, Feb. 8 at 10:30 a.m. To celebrate the grand opening, Chopt has partnered with The Nashville Food Project for a special event the day before that.
Chopt combines seasonal ingredients and authentic flavors from around the world to invent its unique salads. In addition to its classic and build-your-own salad options, Chopt travels to a new destination every 60 days, creating limited-time only salads inspired by locations near and far.
The Brentwood location will open with Destination Vietnam, featuring such Vietnamese-inspired dishes as the Saigon Chicken Bánh Mì Salad, the Vietnamese Meatball Noodle Bowl and the Shrimp Summer Roll Salad.
The restaurant’s salads can be complimented with one of 18 dressings that are made from scratch on a daily basis. Lemonades and teas are also freshly-brewed.
Chopt adds a local freshness to its menu by building partnerships with regional artisans and purveyors like Booch Kombucha and Switters Coffee.
Chopt Co-founder Colin McCabe talked about the decision to bring his company to the area in a news release.
“Nashville is known for its eclectic and creative spirit and we think Chopt will be a strong addition to the food community here,” he said. “We are excited to open our first Tennessee location and hope our Brentwood neighbors will enjoy the flavorful, fast and healthy options we bring to the table.”
For those who just cannot wait to get one of Chopt’s salads, the company will be hosting a Chopt Gives Day on Tuesday, Feb. 7. On that day, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and again from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m., customers who donate to Chopt’s charitable partner, The Nashville Food Project, will receive a free salad.
The Nashville Food Project is a local nonprofit organization whose work brings people together to grow, cook and share nourishing food, with the goals of cultivating community and alleviating hunger in Music City.
“We are thrilled to have a restaurant like Chopt here in Nashville, one that values health and supporting its local community just as we do,” Teri Forsythe Sloan, development director of The Nashville Food Project, said. “Funds from Chopt Gives will support our gardens and meals programs, which nourish thousands of Nashville’s residents and empower our most vulnerable neighbors to take control of their own food resources while fostering community and breaking cycles of poverty.”
The new Hill Center Brentwood location features over 55 seats, including communal dining areas, booth seating, a large outdoor patio area, and playful wallpaper created in partnership with Batabasta, a Spanish design duo.
H.G. Hill Realty Company Chairman and CEO Jimmy Granbery thinks the restaurant will be a great fit for the area and also applauds Chopt’s work with The Nashville Food Project.
“In addition to offering another healthful dining option for the community – and our retail and office tenants – we are pleased they selected The Nashville Food Project as the beneficiary for Chopt Gives Day,” says Jimmy Granbery, chairman and CEO, H.G. Hill Realty Company. “We’re a long-time fan and supporter of the nonprofit and are continually impressed by their ability to reclaim and grow fresh food and turn it into nutritious meals for those in need.”
