Retailers remain open during facade renovations

Brentwood, Tenn. – Jan. 22, 2018 – Renovations begin today on Hill Center Brentwood’s circa-1986 building. All retailers in the center will remain open during construction, which is expected to be completed by mid-October 2018.

The exterior renovations will occur on a rolling construction schedule starting at the north end of the building that includes a vacant end-cap space and Puffy Muffin. Completion of this first section is expected by mid-October. The next section of construction begins mid-March on the storefronts of Hot Pink, The Fresh Market and Pear Tree Avenue, and will conclude around early July. The last section will include storefronts for Katy’s Hallmark, Hair Expressions, FedEx and REI. This work will begin mid-May and conclude mid-October.

The façade improvements include removing the limestone canopy on the front of the center and adding new vertical design elements that complement the building’s brick color and coordinate with the new center. Existing storefront canopies will be replaced with metal awnings and new lighting and planters will be installed. Additionally, the walkway along the front of the center will be reworked to meet paving and the landscape standards, and to connect with the new center.

“These renovations provide a fresh new makeover to the 32-year-old building and offer our valued long-time tenants improvements to their storefronts along with a tie-in and connectivity to our new center,” said Jimmy Granbery, chairman and CEO, H.G. Hill Realty Company.

Street Dickson Rick Orcutt Winslow is the architect on the project and Crain Construction is the contractor. For additional information about Hill Center Brentwood, including current retailers and restaurants, and leasing information visit hcbrentwood.wpengine.com.
